Transportation Improvement Program for the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area

The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is updated each year by the Transportation Advisory Board and the Metropolitan Council. The federal transportation bill, SAFETEA-LU, requires that all federally-funded transportation projects within the seven-county metropolitan area be included in the four-year Transportation Improvement Program. The TIP is prepared by the Metropolitan Council with assistance from the Minnesota Department of Transportation. It represents a fiscally-constrained four-year program of project delivery.
